St Etienne coach Claude Puel was happy to play Wesley Fofana for victory Strasbourg yesterday.
Fofana has submitted a transfer request amid interest from Leicester City.
But Puel says: "There was no meeting regarding his situation. This subject was not discussed by the Supervisory Board.
"It's creating a soap opera with a lot of fake news. I prefer not to comment.
“Wesley is going through tough things, just like any kid that age at 19. The answer, he gave it tonight. And that was a very good response."
