Sporting CP successfully fought off efforts from Arsenal and Manchester United to keep hold of Nuno Mendes for the new season.
The teenage left-back was wanted by both English giants, along with AC Milan.
O Jogo says details of Sporting's successful efforts in resisting all efforts to prise away Mendes have emerged.
Only AC Milan made an offer - €15m - for the teen, while Arsenal held extensive talks with Sporting without tabling a bid. Both clubs were referred to Mendes' €45m buyout clause - a price deemed too rich by the pair.
United also made enquiries after Mendes, though their interest never went beyond the exploratory stage.
Mendes, 18, has a deal with Sporting to 2025.
