Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was tightlipped today over their double transfer raid on Real Madrid.
Spurs are said to be deep in talks with Real Madrid for attacker Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.
Ahead of their Europa League qualifier against Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Mourinho said: "I tried to sign him (Bale) during my time at Real Madrid and the president followed my instincts and knowledge and the season that I left, he brought Gareth to the club.
"That is no secret and Gareth knows it.
"(But) I don't comment on hypothetical things. Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid player."
Asked about Reguilon, he added: "I don't comment on players from other clubs. It's not my job to have contact with agents, I don't want to comment on that, especially on players from other clubs."
