Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed Barcelona made an approach for Lautaro Martinez.
But Ausilio says the Argentine is now 'out of the market' after Barca failed to trigger his release clause by the end of July.
"There was an approach for the player from Barcelona, but we never started a negotiation," Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia.
"There was a clause that was never triggered and from the day it expired we considered Lautaro out of the market."
