Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig is a loan target for Porto.
Porto feel the midfielder represents a great opportunity after learning that Barça coach Ronald Koeman has told him he would be better served on loan, says Record.
Koeman explained to Puig that he could not guarantee him minutes at the club this season in his new 4-2-3-1 formation, a switch from last season's 4-3-3 under Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien.
Porto's decision-makers, led by coach Sergio Conceiçao, believe Puig would be a good addition to the squad before the transfer deadline next week.
Puig has so far resisted the urge to leave Barça and stressed that he would prefer to stay with the B team and continue training with Koeman's side in a bid to prove the coach wrong.
