Brazil striker Vagner Love admits he had the chance of moving to England in the past.
Vagner Love now plays for Kazakhstan Premier League team Kairat.
The 36 year-old recalled: "I heard about the possibility, but I don't know if Real Madrid came out with a specific proposal for CSKA. Manchester City definitely came out. Portsmouth, if I'm not mistaken. Hamburg also showed interest. And the president of CSKA always said that he would not let me go, that I needed to continue at the club, as I was very important for CSKA, so I stayed and did not move to another big club in Europe.
"The president said: 'I sold Jo for 24 million, if I sold him for 24, then I want more for you', and the clubs did not want to pay as much as (Yevgeni) Giner asked."
