Sage advice from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to Manchester United vice-chairman exe Ed Woodward helped turn the team's fortunes around, it has been revealed.
Solskjaer urged Woodward to rethink his transfer policy when first taking charge.
ESPN reports Solskjaer's advice to United's executive vice chairman Woodward, went some way to turning things around.
The publication claims that Solskjaer convinced Woodward to start valuing dressing room harmony over signing big-name players.
The Norwegian believed that Alexis Sanchez being on a whopping £500,000-a-week resulted in the other players in the dressing room questioning their worth to the team.
Once Sanchez was removed from the equation, the equal playing field helped solve the divide in the dressing room, which in turn saw improved performances on the pitch.
