KENINGAU:
Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) candidate for Liawan, Datuk Daniel Kinsik (pic), insists he is not withdrawing from Saturday’s election race due to strong support. Two other PBS candidates Silverius Bruno (N.39 Tambunan) and Peter Jino Alliun (N.40 Bingkor) withdrew to avoid internal clashes within the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah alliance. This came as a result of ongoing negotiations between GRS parties, as they are set to clash in as many as 17 seats in the elections. It was announced by Perikatan Nasional (PN) Sec-Gen. Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin after witnessing the signing of an agreement between Star Sabah President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and PBS Sec-Gen. Datuk Jahid Jahim in Kota KInabalu.
