Kota Kinabalu:

The Federal Court in granting former Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman leave to proceed with his appeal to challenge the validity of Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal as Sabah Chief Minister held it should be granted in order to determine whether the Head of State (TYT) acted within his constitutional powers when he removed a sitting and validly appointed Chief Minister following the 2018 election.

It also held that contrary to the view of the lower courts, the matter is grave and cannot be dismissed as academic.
