Lajim denies backing candidates

BEAUFORT: Bersatu Sabah Election director Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin (pic) denied talk that he is supporting an election candidate of Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) in Klias and an independent candidate in Kuala Penyu in this 16th State election.

 He said irresponsible quarters have been using his name and spread lies that he is supporting these candidates just to confuse the voters.

 “I am fully supporting Perikatan Nasional (PN) Bersatu candidate for Klias Datuk Isnain Aliasneh and PN Bersatu candidate for Kuala Penyu Datuk Limus.

 “I am calling on voters in Klias not to believe such lie that is meant to tarnish the image and mislead them. Religion issue was also played up so as to garner votes for their election candidates from other parties.

 “This is not an election to select a head of religion but to vote for elected people representative who is capable to bring development and highlight needs of the people to the government,” said the former Beaufort MP and Klias assemblyman.
