LAHAD DATU:

The public here are advised to keep their distance from the Sea gypsy (Palauh) community as two of the community’s members have been tested positive for Covid-19.

District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said public should also stop giving them any form of donations who are often seen begging for money at traffic lights around the district. “Police will also take action to prevent the Palauh going to town to carry out their begging activities,” he said.

In the past there have been accidents when Palauh youngsters dashed about without regard to passing motorists.
