Arsenal have backtracked on their decision to sell Rob Holding.

The centre-back was reportedly on the verge of joining Newcastle United last week.

With Gabriel and William Saliba arriving this summer, Mikel Arteta is being forced to sell some of his centre-backs.

Holding was believed to be one of them, but Sky Sports - via Metro - says the 25-year-old will remain at the Emirates.

This could mean that deals for Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers are closer to completion.

Napoli are interested in Sokratis, while Leeds and Fulham have been tracking Chambers.
