Alaves have snapped up Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune.
The 29 year-old joins Alaves on-loan for the new season. He arrives a year after former Newcastle striker Joselu was signed.
Lejeune is a former Eibar and Girona defender, where he played for current Alaves coach Pablo Machin.
The stopper managed just six appearances for Newcastle last season.
Lejeune had offers from across Europe, but the chance to play again for Machin was key to his choice of joining Alaves.
