Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell insists they're capable of upsetting Liverpool on Monday night.

The Gunners battered Fulham 3-0 on the opening day and followed that up with hard-fought 2-1 triumph over West Ham last weekend.

Campbell told the Daily Star: "Arsenal have started off well with two wins, but the big test will come on Monday at Anfield, that's a good gaug.

"How they play against Liverpool will be a definite yardstick to how this Arsenal team is going to perform moving forward and whether they can show the consistency needed.

"If you get something at Anfield, then you know you're on the right track."

Campbell reckons a solid back line will be crucial to stopping Jurgen Klopp's swashbuckling side.

"Arsenal have to defend well against Liverpool," added Campbell, who scored 46 goals in 228 games for the Gunners.

"They've got to approach the game in the same way that they approached a lot of the other games they've played against Liverpool before where they've managed to get favourable results."
