Pasir Puteh Member of Parliament Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh’s unwarranted remarks that the Bible has been distorted from its original meaning tantamount to inciting racial and religious discord.Describing the PAS MP’s assertion as highly seditious, PBS Information Chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said that such remarks cannot be condoned and uncalled for, given that Malaysia is a multiracial and multi-religious country. “Such a statement could potentially incite racial and religious hatred, something that we can ill afford considering that We live in a multicultural, multiethnic and multi-religious country.
