Kota Kinabalu:

Archbishop and Primate of the Province of the Anglican Church in Southeast Asia, the Most Reverend Datuk Melter Jiki Tais, is calling all Anglicans in Sabah to pray and take the necessary actions to ensure that a godly government would be elected to power in the Sept 26 State election.

“It is our moral responsibility to pray and elect a government which sincerely seeks and works for the peace and prosperity of Sabah and its people, irrespective of their races, creeds or ethnicities,” he said in a statement, Sunday.

The church as an institution, he said, is non-partisan and seeks only for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
