Manchester City have sent Yan Couto to Spanish sister club Girona.
City signed the teenage fullback earlier this year from Coritiba after scouting him at the U17 World Cup.
The 18 year-old has previously stated he chose to join City ahead of an offer from Barcelona.
And he will spend his first year in Europe on-loan with Girona.
The Spanish outfit also have City goalkeeper Aro Muric and striker Pablo Moreno on the books this season.
