PSG chief Leonardo has spoken of losing Thiago Silva to Everton.
Thiago Silva was allowed to come off contract by Leonardo last month.
And he said, "We spoke at the last moment. For Thiago Silva and for (Edinson) Cavani, for players like that, who have done everything for the club, who are idols, the decision is not easy.
"We made a decision six months ago for financial reasons, to change generations and then we had a completely different journey. This group had a terrific second half. We are a happy group.
"All of this made us want to maintain a group today. This was the subject of my last conversation with Thiago Silva, but it was too late."
