Brighton boss Graham Potter is weighing up their options for Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish striker enjoyed another 90 minutes as target man in the Carabao Cup win at Preston North End.
Potter said: “He worked away again. It was a tough ask for him up against a couple of centre-backs.
“He took the fight a lot, ran a lot and had opportunities and contributed to a win, contributed to a clean sheet in terms of how the team defended.
“That's the challenge for him, to keep those steps going.
“It's only his second game for a while with us. The more we know him, the more he knows us, I'm sure the better he will get.
“There is always a point when you have got to make the right decision for him and us in terms of what the right pathway for his development is. We are open-minded about that.
“At the moment he is with us and I'm happy with that and happy with him."
