Former Chelsea football chief Michael Emenalo is set to join Roma.
Roma have been seeking a new director of sport since the sacking of Gianluca Petrachi over the summer.
Corriere dello Sport says Emenalo has agreed terms with Roma, which are now considering whether to sign off on the deal. The Giallorosso are also weighing up other candidates.
Emenalo is a free agent after leaving AS Monaco last season.
Jonas Boldt and Ralf Rangnick have also been linked with the post.
