The Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset will be arriving by the end of this year and one phone that has already confirmed to feature it is the Mi 11, the upcoming device from Xiaomi's flagship series.

The Mi 11 will be the first device to be equipped with the new processor among Chinese brands. According to GizChina, Samsung has decided to bring forward the announcement of its Galaxy S21 series, which is why Samsung is likely to beat Xiaomi to it in offering a Snapdragon 875-based smartphone.

Mi 11 to be announced by the end of 2020

The Xiaomi Mi 10 series was launched last year during December, so it's unsurprising if the Mi 11 is announced by the end of this year and start selling next year around January or February. Apart from using the flagship chipset, the Mi 11 is also expected to sport a screen that pushes 2K resolution and come with an under-screen selfie camera. There's also talks of 200W fast charging, 120Hz refresh rate support and up to 150x zoom.

Snapdragon 875 – smaller, faster and more powerful

Rumors also indicate that Qualcomm will be using the ARM Cortex-X1 Super Core, which guarantees faster speed and a more powerful performance.
