Unai Emery has revealed he had to talk PSG striker Kylian Mbappe out of leaving for Real Madrid.
The Villarreal coach was in charge of PSG between 2016 and 2018.
He recalled to Cadena Cope: "When I was in Paris, Mbappé seriously considered going to Real Madrid because it is a club which he likes enormously.
"He really wanted to play for Real Madrid. I didn't want him to leave, I had a discussion with him and his father to convince him that he should stay.
"Leaving Paris is not easy."
