Arsenal defender Dino Mavropanos has suffered an injury blow at VfB Stuttgart.
The Greek youngster is on a season-long loan with VfB.
But Mavropanos suffered a knee injury in last Thursday's friendly against SC Freiburg.
Stuttgart have now announced the centre-half will undergo knee surgery to correct a damaged meniscus.
Mavropanos spent last season on-loan in Germany with FC Nurnberg.
