Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s hopes of further rounding up and deporting Filipino illegal immigrants besides those already detained at various immigration holding centres in the State have been dealt a blow – Zamboanga City local authorities again decided to close all entry and exit points starting Monday (Oct 26). “Zamboanga City will impose a temporary ban on the entry of stranded individuals beginning Oct. 26,” Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar said. In a public advisory posted on the Facebook page of the City Government of Zamboanga, the lady mayor stated that the moratorium is in line with the resolution approved by the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force.
