Sabah eyes use of technology to revive post-Covid tourism

Kota Kinabalu: The State Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry is confident that it will revitalise the tourism industry in Sabah through a series of initiatives.

Its Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin said among the initiatives that will be considered is to follow the Global Guidelines issued by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) recently, namely guidelines under “Restarting Tourism.”

This includes the application of new technology systems linking tourist health data in ensuring that a tourist is healthy and Covid-19 free.
