Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has confirmed he wanted to sign Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum this summer.
The Dutchman also admits he hoped to bring Memphis Depay to the club from Lyon.
"He [Wijnaldum] was on my list," Koeman told NOS.
Depay came close to completing a move late in the market, and Koeman was never shy about his desire to bring more Dutch players to the club.
"We hope to have a second Dutchman in the squad," Koeman said, with Frenkie de Jong being the first working under him.
