Kota Kinabalu: The creation of Sabah Economic Council and allocation of additional RM160 million cash budget intended to alleviate financial difficulties of the pandemic-affected rakyat are timely and logic.Ensuring only individuals coming from various sectors of the society will be included as members of the new council, the National Consumer Federation of Malaysia (YPNM), the newly-formed Sabah government will be in a better position to protect and preserve the health aspect of the people and its economy. Its Sabah Chairman David Chan hoped Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor will spare no time to realise the noble and much-needed measures in view of the continuous rise of coronavirus positive cases and its negative effects on the State’s economy.
