SANDAKAN: Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (Abim) branch here together with Global Peace Mission Malaysia and Min Qalby Foundation contributed 60 “Pek Gembira” to the frontliners on duty at the low-risk Covid-19 Treatment Centre at Sandakan Sport Complex and its hostel, Wednesday. Each pack contains dry food such as chocolates, energy drinks, sanitisers and several items.Abim Sandakan Head Fikri Muharam said the distribution of the aid was implemented to show their appreciation to fatigue and sacrifices of the front liner in curbing the Covid-19 pandemic, especially here. He said the packs were also given simultaneously to frontline staff at several quarantine centres in Sabah and hospitals around Kota Kinabalu.

In the future, Fikri said Abim Sandakan will also strive to continue assistance to the front line in terms of providing personal protection equipment (PPE) that are needed here. He also thanked all the contributors who have always supported programmes and drives run by Abim Sandakan and Global Peace Mission Malaysia.
