Kota Kinabalu: The continuation of the defence on the case involving a school headmaster charged with making false claim to the State Zakat Centre was re-scheduled.Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar made the order for Majahil Majingkil, 56, whose defence was supposed to be from Oct 26 to 29. A new date would be fixed later. Majahil is accused of submitting the false document over the Israk Mikraj programme between July and Oct 2015, at the State Zakat Centre of Muis (Majlis Ugama Islam) here.

The charge stated that Majahil allegedly submitted an undated paperwork of Israk Mikraj programme celebration with the intention of deceiving the officer and making him believe that the programme was conducted on July 16, 2014 at the school in Kinabatangan when it actually was never held. Meanwhile, the court also re-scheduled the trial of a case involving a 58-year-old man charged with using a fake document to obtain tender for the supply of toner to the State National Registration Department (NRD). Koh Mui Huck, who is from Kedah, is accused of using the fake document allegedly issued by Lexmark East Malaysia Distributor dated June 6, 2017 as genuine.

He allegedly committed the offence at the NRC office, here, on June 7, 2017. Koh was released on a bail of RM10,000 with RM7,000 deposited with a local surety by his wife.
