Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart has branded Luis Figo a "traitor" over his infamous move to Real Madrid.
Figo's first return to the Nou Camp - and the fans' reaction - has gone down in El Clasico folklore.
And Gaspart insisted: "I would say that the Barcelona supporter is smarter than we think. They reacted by the way it happened.
"Great Barcelona players have left and nothing happened. The way he left Barcelona was what people didn't accept. Hence the reaction.
"After 20 years that night is still remembered. Figo left as a traitor of Barcelona. He did not appreciate how much they loved him. He made a wrong decision and the fans will never forgive him."
