Brighton are eyeing a move for Watford striker Troy Deeney this week.
The Mirror says Brighton are among a trio of clubs ready to offer Deeney a swift return to the Premier League.
Seagulls boss Graham Potter needs a striker and knows that Deeney, down in the second tier with relegated Watford, is proven at the top level.
But Potter faces competition for the 32-year-old from West Brom and Southampton, with the domestic transfer window closing on Friday.
Deeney scored 47 goals in 163 PL games for Watford over five seasons, but the Hornets captain has featured just once this term, as an 89th-minute substitute against Luton last month.
