Military to mobilise Tawau field hospital staff, equipment Oct 17

Kota Kinabalu: The military will mobilise 72 personnel and equipment on Oct 17 for its field hospital planned in Tawau in efforts to help fight Covid-19, said its chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang in a statement.

A total of 12 officers and 60 medical support staff members will be flown by the air force for duty at the field hospital for at least three months.

The field hospital will be erected at the Tawau Sport Complex to treat non-Covid-19 patients to free up Tawau Hospital for Covid-19 cases.
