Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has rejected the chance to go to Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners were the only European club to make serious offers for the attacking midfielder.
However, their bids never reached the level that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas would find acceptable.
Aouar himself is happy to give it a go with Lyon for another season before he tries again to move to an elite European team.
"[Why did I make] my choice to stay in Lyon?" he told his post-match press conference.
"I felt that I could still bring something to this team and to this club.
"That's why I have made the choice to continue my adventure with Lyon.
"I hope we will get up and find our form again quickly."
