Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers says he'd have Islam Slimani as part of his Europa League squad if given a second chance.
Rodgers failed to register the striker, though did add him to Leicester's Premier League squad.
He explained: "The list for Europe had to be delivered well in advance of the one for the Premier.
"Unfortunately we did not include him because we were convinced that he would have been sold.
"This is why we will not be able to deploy him in Europe."
