West Bromwich Albion have confirmed defender Ahmed Hegazi has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad on loan.
A permanent transfer has been agreed for next summer.
Hegazi, 29, has spent three seasons at the Hawthorns.
It has been reported that Albion boss Slaven Bilic was caught blindsided by the decision to sell Hegazi.
