Villarreal coach Unai Emery faces losing Takefusa Kubo.
The Japan international is on-loan at Villarreal from Real Madrid this season, but has struggled for minutes.
So far this season, Emery has handed Kubo just 54 minutes of action and it's a situation which is frustrating Real management.
Radio Marca says there's now discussion inside Real about cutting short Kubo's loan and adding him to Zinedine Zidane's first team squad.
Kubo joined the Yellow Submarine on the back of a successful loan with Real Mallorca last season.
