Manchester United are considering a new offer from AS Roma for Chris Smalling.
The centre-back was on loan with the Italian club last season and wants to return.
But they have fallen well short of United's valuation of the player so far.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have made a £10.9m (€12m) plus £2.7m (€3m).
United are considering the offer, and will give Roma an answer as quickly as possible.
Reports in Italy also suggested Roma wanted to sign Diogo Dalot on loan for this season, while AC Milan also retain an interest in the Portuguese right back.
