Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font says Lionel Messi's new contract must be a priority.
Messi's current deal expires in June.
"It's essential that the Barca-Messi association continues," said Font.
"I would not have given Luis Suarez to Atletico, I would have negotiated."
He added: "Bartomeu should have called elections already because the club's situation is critical. The most important thing about the vote of no confidence is not bringing forward the elections but stopping this board from taking decisions."
