Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema didn't pass to Vinicius Junior after reportedly criticising his teammate at halftime of their 2-2 draw at Champions League opponents Borussia Monchengladbach.

Match stats show that after passing the ball to Vinicius three times in the first half, Benzema did not find the Brazilian with a single one in the second half, following the advice he appeared to give to Ferland Mendy. Nevertheless, the French full back passed to Vinicius three times in the second half.

In the images revealed, courtesy of Telefoot, Benzema seemed to say to instruct Mendy in the tunnel not to feed the young Brazilian

"Brother, don't play with him, he's playing against us," and although Vinicius' name was not mentioned it is understood he was the one being referred to.

Later, Gol published more footage from the incident, with Benzema and Mendy chatting and Thibaut Courtois nearby.

"He does nothing with purpose," Benzema appears to say, fiercely critical of his Brazilian teammate.

"When he gets scared, he loses what he's all about," Mendy is alleged to have replied.
