Flowers, fruit baskets to lift Sandakan health workers' morale

SANDAKAN: Health workers in the district were always given good words of encouragement and appreciating each other in their daily work culture, said Sandakan Duchess of Kent Hospital (HDOK) Director Dr Francis Paul. 

He said this is also done to lift their spirit in performing daily tasks, especially in facing Covid-19 pandemic situation here.

Although the health workers here faces challenges, with holidays frozen, some of them infected, declining human resources and 125 of the staff quarantined for 14 days and have to go several others situations since this pandemic erupted, he said these are overcame with positive spirit.
