Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger doesn't expect manager Frank Lampard to freeze him out.

Rudiger, who played in both of Germany's Nations League matches against Ukraine and Switzerland in the current international block, says he will work hard in training to convince Lampard he should be back in the Chelsea team.

"It is what it is now. I will accept it for the time being and try to show myself in every training session," said the £29million buy from Roma.

"We are in many different competitions, it's two games per week all the way from now. Sometimes in football, things can change very quickly.

"That's why I will continue to give my best every day and try to convince the manager."
