Be alert, Membakut folks in low-lying areas told

MEMBAKUT: Special Tasks Minister-cum-Membakut Assemblyman Datuk Arifin Mohd Arif visited the areas in Kg Sindok and Kg Sinoko, which were affected by Monday’s flash flood in his constituency. 

The flood was reportedly already subsided but he advised those living along the riverbank and low-lying areas to be watchful when it rains and be ready, including with their personal documents, to evacuate to a safer place when the need arises. 

He also advised parents to watch their children to ensure they will not play in flood water to prevent them from getting sick or an unwanted encounter with venomous creatures like snake.
