Barcelona have opened new contract talks with the agent of Barcelona teen Ansu Fati.
Amid the board's push for the players to accept 30 per cent pay-cuts, agent Jorge Mendes has kicked off negotiations about a new deal for his teenage client.
Fati has a deal to 2022 and the Catalans are eager to upgrade that in line with the better paid senior players in the squad.
The agreement will centre around a temporary wage reduction, which will eventually be eliminated once the club gets beyond it's current financial difficulties, says Sport.
Fati has already seen his buyout clause jump to €400m after being named a first team squad member this season and Mendes is now pushing for a wage-hike to reflect his new senior status.
