Brighton and Hove Albion owe the influence of Adam Lallana in convincing Danny Welbeck to join the club.
The former England striker has signed for the club on a one year contract.
And Lallana believes Welbeck gives a massive boost to the whole team, given his experiences at Manchester United and Arsenal.
He told Sky Sports: "I've been speaking to him over the last couple of weeks so I've given him a great sales pitch!
"I've left him be the last week or so because he obviously needs to make his own mind up.
"I think we are very fortunate to have the calibre of player of Danny."
