P’pang police dismiss claim in viral message

PENAMPANG: Police have dismissed a claim in a viral message that passengers sitting next to or behind the driver in a vehicle will be compounded. 

Penampang Police Chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim said the viral post with a message that read “compound for two passengers who did not practise physical distancing in a car” was fake.

Describing the spreading of the message as an irresponsible act, he said the information contained in the message was not true.
