Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was delighted with David Luiz's performance against Manchester City on Saturday.
The Brazilian was only brought into the starting line-up after a late injury to Rob Holding.
The Gunners were defeated 1-0 at the Etihad, but Arteta was pleased with his veteran defender.
He told Football.London: "It was bad enough to make the decision to get him out of the game and get David in.
"David was really focused, he came on and I think he had a great game."
