Brighton are interested in signing free agent Danny Welbeck.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker was released by Watford last week.
And the Daily Mail says Brighton are looking at the 30-year-old as a replacement for Glenn Murray, who has moved to Vicarage Road on loan.
Welbeck's career has been hampered by injuries.
But Albion believe the Englishman will provide experience to their young forward line.
