Udinese owner Gino Pozzo intervened to keep Ismaila Sarr at Watford.

The winger attracted a major bid from Crystal Palace on deadline day on Friday to the tune of £25m.

But while an attractive offer, Pozzo - who owns Palace - vetoed the move, reports TMW.

Pozzo insisted the bid wasn't enough for Sarr to depart.

The Senegal international now remains with the Hornets until the January market at least.
