Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow will not be out for a sustained period.

The shot stopper was hurt against Manchester United, but continued until the end during the 4-1 loss.

According to the Daily Mail, a scan has shown no damage after a heavy collision with Marcus Rashford.

It appears Darlow could even be fit for the team's Premier League clash on Sunday against Wolves.

It is excellent news for manager Steve Bruce, who is already without his unusual no.1 Martin Dubravka.

If Darlow misses games, Newcastle would have to play third choice Mark Gillespie.
