Pioneer Labuan ro-ro vessel set to resume

LABUAN: One of the pioneer ro-ro vessels “Wawasan Perdana” which dominated the Labuan–Menumbok ferry service for 15 years and limped out of business in 2017 is all set to resume the trips.

The vessel has been renovated, refurbished and renamed as “Blue Ocean” and waiting for the clearance of documents from the Sabah Port and Harbour Department.

According to an industry source the vessel’s new owners are Kota-Kinabalu based company which is already in the ferry business.
